This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application Lucernia ("Lucernia", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the App. Lucernia is a Bible study assistant that helps readers look up verses and explore AI-generated contextual layers (plain-language explanations, historical background, and geographic context).

The Publisher acts as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the App under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).
For any privacy-related question or to exercise your rights, please contact: contact@lucernia.app.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers. We do not run third-party advertising in Lucernia.
Lucernia uses OpenAI's GPT API to generate contextual explanations of Bible passages and to answer questions you submit. The Bible text and your question are transmitted to OpenAI through our backend in order to produce the response.
Per OpenAI's terms applicable to API customers, your inputs and the model's outputs are not used to train OpenAI's models.
Lucernia is developed by a solo developer who does not hold a theology degree or formal religious credentials. AI-generated content is provided for educational and reflective purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or interpretations that do not reflect any specific denomination's doctrine. The Publisher is not responsible for the substance of AI-generated content. Always consult primary sources and qualified clergy for theological guidance.
